It was a dark and stormy night. No, wait! That's another story.
It was mid-July, and I had a scheduled install.
Both of our wives are still reticent to having unnecessary human contact due to COVID, and so, we worked out an alternate installation scenario.
Creativity was the order of the day, and we strategized how to simulate a setup. When he mentioned he has a camper van, the solution was clear.
His Kuzma Stabi S is fairly easy to move about, in comparison with one of our Gavias or Stelvios, so we walked him through the details (hands on training), after which we packed it up and he repeated the installation at home. Repetition is the mother of skill - or so I've been told.

These mentoring sessions are as gratifying for me (I love to teach), as are my customers' reports of their experience.
This is one reason we support our installations with detailed setup reports. It reinforces the learning. Individuals have different preferred learning modes, but I've found that learning by doing supports the other two modes (learn by seeing and learn by hearing).

Manipulating tools has a proven track record of "rewiring" our nervous system.
Our customer has some setup experience, but was interested in exposing weaknesses in his technique. All too many “know it all” audiophiles fail to grasp how much performance they're leaving on the table (pun intended) with their setups.
They're classic examples of the Dunning-Kruger effect. It is the curious individual who ultimately masters something.
Note: several of the settings we performed at Galibier were left undisturbed - specifically the azimuth and VTA/SRA. The 4Point's azimuth setting is retained when unmounting/remounting, and VTA/SRA can be easily reset, as you can read in our setup reports for remote installations.
