Yesterday, we had the privilege of seeing Peter Rowan performing solo in an intimate venue a few miles West of Boulder – the Caribou Room in Nederland, CO.
An unexpected surprise was the talent and virtuosity of singer/songwriter Danny Shafer.
Our sense is that the Caribou Room will follow along the great tradition of music in Nederland that began with the Caribou Ranch (unrelated to the Caribou Room). Every last attention to detail is attended to – both for the performers and the audience. Acoustics are some of the best I’ve ever heard and once the word gets out, I suspect it will become another one of “the” places to perform at – perhaps not Red Rocks, but far more intimate.
It is, about the music after all … right?
